Inspired by lunar views through my telescope, I created a 3D terrain artwork that turns real moon geography into a striking statement piece.
A lunch conversation sparked an artistic exploration of the Moon. A friend’s request for a closer look at the First Quarter Moon led us to photograph Mare Nectaris, capturing the dramatic contrast of ancient and young craters.
Inspired by the lunar landscape near Maurolycus, we designed a composition with five focal points, blending artistic interpretation with natural formations. Collaborating closely, we crafted an intricate, immersive piece that invites viewers to explore the Moon’s mesmerizing terrain.
